JAX to PDX - 3 week long one-way rental - help?

I'm flying to jacksonville, fl then driving to portland, or then flying out of portland - I need a three week long one-way rental or some combination of shorter one-way rentals if it's cheaper that way.

If any combination of shorter rentals would work better my route is:

August 6 Arrive in Jacksonville, FL

August 8 Savannah, GA

August 9 Columbia, SC / Athens, GA

August 10 Asheville, NC

August 11 St. Louis, MO

August 12 Omaha, NE

August 14 Denver, CO

August 16 Albuquerque, NM

August 18 Tucson, AZ / Phoenix, AZ

August 19 San Diego, CA

August 21 San Fancisco, CA

August 23 Eugene, OR

August 27 Depart from Portland, OR

EDIT: If it's helpful (1) I've got AAA & could pay with whatever credit card got me the best discount, (2) I'm flying southwest for both flights if there's some kind of combo discount, and (3) carwise I'm happy with anything compact (not economy) or larger as long as it has air & I'd be more than happy with a manual transmission if it saves $.

Any suggestions for PRICELINE bidding here / other tips?

That sounds like a fun itinerary, lowimpact.

PRICELINE only offers one-way rentals between select city pairs and unfortunately Jacksonville/Portland isn't one of those.

Have you done any rate shopping? What's the best rate you've found so far?
