Trying to book a 3-adult room from 8/24-8/28 in Paris, see belowin Hotwire. $199/night.

Any idea wich hotel it is?

The above is a match for the Hilton so that would be my best guess. (although i'm not currently seeing any 4* hotel offered in this zone when searching for 3adults... are you still seeing this on your own HOTWIRE search?)

I just checked and that particular hotel (with that price) is gone, for the same 3-adults search.

Seems they come and go, that means I need to check the site often.

I am still debating whether to book one 3-person room or bid 2 rooms from PRICELINE. Seems to me there are not that much a difference price wise.

I would like to stay in the central area that is clodes to subway (mom can't walk too much).

through my research, my preference would be (for 2 rooms, 4 nights):

1. (Champs Elysees-Opera Quarter West) Concorde Saint-Lazare

2. (St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse) Marriott Rive Gauche

3. (Champs Elysees-Opera Quarter West) Concorde Lafayette

Any suggestions?

If your mom can't walk much, keep in mind that the metro can often involve stairs. Sometimes buses can be a better option. Check out www.ratp.fr for transit options, and you can restrict to buses if you like.

I am not famillar with Paris. If we want to take buses frquently, which zone(s) we should focus on bidding?

Looking for Paris hotel info too... samlooker, I know no one responded about buses, but I'd wager no one knows about buses.

If you can, would you please complete the thread? What happened? All info helps.

Here is a (late) update. Due to the flu activities we had to change plan and went to Paris on August of 2009. We ended up booking 2 rooms directly at Hotel Concorde la Fayette for 168 EUR each night. It was a nice 3.5 star hotel in my opinion.
