Colfax Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 is this summary correct?3.0* = no parking feesNot true. At least some Disney 3* charge for parking. The 3* Red Lion charges $14/night. The 3* Marriott charges $20/night.are there any 3.5* hotels with NO parking fees?if yes, which ones?I don't know the answer but if a 3.5* hotel has free parking how would knowing that change your bidding strategy? You can't bid for a particular hotel on Priceline.
poorstudent Posted July 17, 2009 Author Report Posted July 17, 2009 target dates = 08/17 (mon) - 08/20 (thurs)same questions as above
AaronJB Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 As mentioned above, you cannot try and bid to ensure a hotel with no parking fees. What would be your max bid per night? Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links.
poorstudent Posted July 17, 2009 Author Report Posted July 17, 2009 1. my max bid depends on the star level (in the end, i gotta sleep somewhere)2. i understand the point that on priceline we are not able to specify particular hotels3. in the end, this topic is a "grey" area; most (not all) 3.0* offer free parking and some (not all) 3.5* force us to pay for parking4. it will not be an exact science, but just wanted to understand the probabilties5. is there anything i am missing before starting my bidding process?
thereuare Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 5. is there anything i am missing before starting my bidding process?Yes, please follow-up with the dates of your previous thread:Please complete your Priceline Disneyland thread by adding a reply to it with the dates of that stay so we can enable it to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins... then bump this thread and we'll have a look at the above. poorstudent Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 i now think it would be helpful and perhaps mandatory for posters to also post if there are parking fees for each hotel cost breakdowni know it factors into the costs and considerations for meor how about a compiled list of hotels ...hotels with NO parking fees (free) andhotels that charge a parking feea list would be very helpful
Colfax Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Please complete your Priceline Disneyland thread by adding a reply to it with the dates of that stay so we can enable it to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins... then bump this thread and we'll have a look at the above.Third request.
thereuare Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 i now think it would be helpful and perhaps mandatory for posters to also post if there are parking fees for each hotel cost breakdownLooks how difficult it is just to have you add the dates of your stay to your previous thread... if we can't get the most basic of information from you, how do you expect we madate to get this 'other' info from others? :) Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
