SEC4LSU Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Would like to know if anyone stayed at this hotel. I'm a little nervous about the two star rating. Let me know if you enjoyed your stay.

SEC4LSU Posted October 23, 2004 Author Report Posted October 23, 2004 I have not booked this as of yet. I was looking at the packages that priceline offers and this was one of the hotels that they offered. The package is really good. I think for me coming out of New Orleans it was $468 per person for six nights including air fare for four people. Not a bad deal at all. Anyway thanks for your responses. If we decide to take the deal it is nice to have an idea of the hotel because as I understand it in NY City you just never know. Thanks everyone.
thereuare Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 It is generally believed by most of us here that you can usually do better putting a package together on your own (buying the airfare and hotel separately) for a better price than what is offered thru the packaged products.Doing so also usually enables you to pick your own airfare times... which is a big plus!If you'd like additional help let us know your date(s) of travel and how many rooms you need. thesqueegeekid Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 I stayed here twice last year... their rooms/suites are massive. Each has a queen bed, seperate pull-out sofa bed and a small kitchen. The first room I stayed in was a little hard on the eyes ... green green and more green everywhere ... while the second, was a more tolerable blue. The lobby is tiny and the hotel itself is more like an apartment building. They do have a doorman ... I don't understand why ... but they do? It is a great place if you are more than two ... otherwise, I would go for something more New Yorkish. The hotel is also away from the trendy areas ... some reviews complained of the area being a little "rough" ... however, I found it to be OK.
