mindleftbody Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Boy, bidding has gotten quite a bit tougher for the weekend of the 4th since earlier successful bids as seen via previous posters. I've tried low-balling for a couple days, to no avail. Hyatt is apparently sold out for Friday (see their website), which is my normal PL win. I was finally successful this afternoon ... here is how today's bids went:For 07/02-07/044* Loop $70 - failed4* Loop + O'Hare South $75 - failed4* Loop + O'Hare South + Skokie $80 - failed4* Loop + O'Hare South + Skokie + Lincoln Park $85 - failed4* NMA $70 - failed4* NMA + O'Hare South $75 - failed4* NMA + O'Hare South + Skokie $80 - failed4* NMA + O'Hare South + Skokie + Lincoln Park $85 - failed3.5* NMA $70 - failed3.5* NMA + O'Hare South $75 - failed3.5* NMA + O'Hare South + Skokie $80 - failed3.5* NMA + O'Hare South + Skokie + Lincoln Park $85 - failed3* NMA $70 - wonCourtyard By Marriott Chicago Downtown River NorthYour Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $70.00Subtotal: $140.00Taxes & Service Fees: $29.66Total Charges*: $169.66Please note that I tried to extend the offer for another day after my successful bid and was denied. AaronJB Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 Congratulations on your success! Both Courtyards downtown are quite nice - while this isn't the newer of the two, it's still a great property and in a very good River North location, near quite a few restaurants and a subway station.Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE link to start your purchase.Enjoy your stay.
