windymulder
This hotel rocks! I received this hotel through Howire for $38 per night. What a steal! The hotel is currently under renovation, but there is no construction traffic or mess. I believe that I received one of the new rooms, as everything looked new and spotless. The rooms are very spacious compared to standard hotel rooms. There is a full kitchen that includes a range with oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, pots, pans, kitchenware and service for 4. There was a spacious desk with chair, a living room with a pull-out sofa, fireplace and TV, a sleeping area with 2 beds and a TV and a separate vanity from the bathroom. There is an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and what looks like a tennis court. According to the schedule they have posted on the refrigerator, if you are there Monday-Thursday, they have some great "Manager Receptions" with food. The complimentary continental breakfast was hearty with scrambled eggs, sausage links, make your own waffles, yogurt, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, toast and bagels and standard breakfast beverages-all served in a lovely lobby with a huge flat screen TV tuned to CNN.The clerks were great and I had no trouble with special requests. This hotel is in a nice area near a mall and grocery stores. However, if you need grocery items, they offer a complimentary grocery service. If you leave your list in the morning, they will have your items delivered to your room by 6 pm and they will add the charges to your room. This hotel is on my list of hotels that I would book conventionally and gladly pay full-price. Link to comment
