SimonLi Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 We are going to Rome from June 24 - 29. We needed help identifying the hotels we found in HOTWIRE. 3 1/2 * central $99 -internet , breakfast ( 3/5 trip advisor with 160+ reviews and last review in May )3 * central $109 - internet, breakfast ( 4/5 trip advisor with 140+ reviews and last review in April)4* central $149 - internet ( no trip advisor)Thanks in advance!
thereuare Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 hard to be too confident with so few amenities, but the 3.5* is a match for the Gambrinus Hotel so that would be our best guess for that one... unfortunately the other two properties have not yet been identified. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide to do and how it goes or if we can be of further help. WillTravel Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 >> 3 * central $109 - internet, breakfast ( 4/5 trip advisor with 140+ reviews and last review in April)I think Best Western Globus might be possible. This is known to come up on HOTWIRE as a 3*. There are 179 reviews, and the last review was June 11, but the last one before that was April 25, and HOTWIRE is always lagging. If you choose this option, and if it turns out to be this hotel, keep in mind the location is not convenient (at least I wouldn't think so). If my suspicion is correct, this hotel is available for 387 Euros for the entire stay through the BestWestern site (I think you can book through the support page links), which means about 78 Euros per night, which means that booking blindly is likely a bad idea.
SimonLi Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 Unfortunately, the 3.5* is gone. Otherwise I may go for it. Now, there is another 3.5* for $96 with no trip advisor review and no ammenities. Any idea?
thereuare Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 With no amenities and no tripadvisor info i have no guess :)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. SimonLi Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 The 3.5* show up again and it was indeed Gambrinus hotel. $99 per night plus $61.09 for taxes. Total $556.09 for 5 nights.
