Priceline Hotel: *4 Bid for Biloxi Ms Sept 4-7

I am trying to get a 4* start hotel hopefully with Casino for Labor Day Weekend, started bids at $60-$90, everytime my offers were declined then bidding page change to hotel listing with a message that my offer was decline, then the regular listing page would come up, do you know why ?

I had to close the brower then go back in to rebid but each time offer decline then transferred to hotel listing page. Here is the message that I recieved

I found this hotel on HOTWIRE for Biloxi MS Sept3-7 with the below amenties $73

Sometimes PRICELINE will direct you to their "retail" screen... since you just placed a bid, they know you need a hotel room, and since you were unsuccessful with your bid, they're cross marketing their retail service in hopes that you'll buy a hotel from them thru that side of their service.

What is the best rate you're able to find for these dates thru traditiaonal booking sources? How high are you willing to bid for this stay?

In regards to your HOTWIRE post (please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread)...

Can you please go back to HOTWIRE and confirm the amenities that are shown, as i think there is more than you've listed. This is what i'm currently seeing when searching for your dates:

Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Business, Laundry, Hi-Speed Internet

The lowest *4 rate I have seen is $186 in IP Casino, the lowest *3 is the Holiday INN Express $95 a night.

I am willing to bid as high as $100 a night, for a *4 star, *3 $80

The HOTWIRE hotel above has not yet been identified.

Did you want to try bidding up to your limit for a 4* first before trying for a 3* property? When was your list 4* bid? Am i correct that you have not bid for a 3* yet? (also, note that there is 3.5* bidding offered in this zone... are you not interested in any hotels at this star rating?)

My last bidded for $95 for *4, I also bidded $85 on *3 1/2 and *3 star all declined.

So you're willing to bid $5 more than your previous 4* bids and you've already bid up to (over actually) your limit for a 3.5* or 3*... i don't think you're current odds look very good as you're not leaving yourself much chance, basically you're hoping that you're within $5 of a win for a 4* from your previously failed bids.

Something may open up down the road, butif you are keeping your maximum bid the same, i wouldnt' bid more than twice a week at this point in time as you'll likely just get frustrated.

At the 4* level you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.
