Preferred to stay directly in Coeur d'Alene and with Priceline I was sceptic already but gave him a try. As to Murphy "What can go wrong that will go wrong".

As I know that area is a bit more expensive mainly on weekends, so I started with $49 and "won" on first try - no wonder in Post Falls. Their own best rate is $113.

So we'll visit Coeur d'Alene by car ...

Looks like a very good price, but unfortunately not where you really wanted to be.

When you're not happy landing anywhere in the HOTWIRE can often be a better option as 1) the zone boundaries may be drawn differently and 2) you can often take an educated guess as to the property you will received based upon the amenities shown before your purchase, and therefore also have a good guess as to the property's location.

Hopefully you feel this is a good deal for the price paid and can make this work for your needs.
