Hotwire Hotel: Help Identifying 4* Downtown Hotel

Looking for two nights in downtown Minneapolis, 7/10/09 - 7/12/09, and came across this deal:

$55 a night 4 star hotel

No smoking, Fitness, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet, and "golf nearby"

Looking at other posts, I'm thinking this is probably the Radisson or maybe The Hilton. Seems like a good rate, but location is important as I will not have a car during my stay, and the map of "downtown Minneapolis" on HOTWIRE extends way beyond downtown.

Free internet would also be a major plus (looks like the Radisson has it), so any insight there would be great.

Thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding, mawkus.

The Radisson is my best guess, not Hilton, because the TripAdvisor stats (4/5, 40+ reviews) match Radisson.

Radisson hasn't been reported with these icons in a "Hotel only" purchase before but it's come up in Hotwire Vacation Packages with the icons you posted.

the map of "downtown Minneapolis" on HOTWIRE extends way beyond downtown.
I hadn't noticed this before but you're right. Hotwire's Downtown Minneapolis zone now extends all the way south to Lake Street. The zone was probably expanded to take in the Sheraton Midtown at 29th and Chicago---sort of an orphan hotel in a part of town with no other hotels. The TA stats don't match Sheraton at all so I wouldn't be concerned about winning that.

If you purchase please use this HOTWIRE link and let us know if you get Radisson.

Awesome thank you so much. Glad to hear I won't end up on Lake st. (hard to walk to the Basillica block party from there and could stay with my folks for free!).

Will definitely use the link if I book through HOTWIRE but Radisson is offering a free fridays deal if you go direct through them so I may just do that (need to see the exact price difference, etc.). Will let you know how it ends up.

Also evangelizing better bidding to friends, twitter followers, etc :) Found you guys through Google and love the idea!

Thanks guys. Think I'm sticking with the downtown Marriot (direct). With their free Friday night stay, I think it's about $10 more altogether, but the flexibility to cancel up to day of is worth it. Will definitely be checking betterbiddng in the future though!
