Scandalous Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Oopp's I titled it $75. I meant $65. Cant seem to edit the title.Your Offer Price: $65.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 3Subtotal: $195.00Taxes and Service Fees: $32.05Total Charges: $227.05I was originally bidding for Waikiki (South) and didn't include Waikiki (North). I started at $58 and worked up in $1 increments but wasn't getting anything. At $65 I included Waikiki (North) and got the Renaissance Ilikai on the first bid so I'm not sure where Waikiki (North) would have hit at. Waikiki (South) (and Honolulu Airport, and Ihilani) gave nothing at $64.The place looks really nice on Marriotts web site and the cheapest room in the place on my dates is $179 a night so I am pretty happy to get it for $65 even if I might have got it a few dollars cheaper if I had included Waikiki (North) earlier.

Keoni Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 The Ilikai Hotel is located between the Hawaii Prince and the Hilton Hawaiian Village at the Western end of Waikiki. The Hotel was shown several times in the opening scenes from the TV show Hawaii Five-O and anytime you get a hotel room anywhere in Waikiki for $65.00 that is a great deal. For this price there is a chance you could end up with mountain views versus ocean but there are lots of rooms so good luck. I stayed in a suite at this hotel back in '96 for $425 per night (1/2 the rack rate) so you can see this ain't no dump. Outback, Red Lobster, next door with many other restaurants within short walking distance. Hotel has a couple of restaurants internal. Sunset Hawaiian torch lighting cermony every evening is worth sitting by the pool with a beverage to take in the event.Hotel overlooks the Ala Wai Marina and Hilton Hawaiian Lagoon. Beach is just a short walk away. Parking, if you have a car, will probably be 10 or 12 bucks per day. Good luck with your trip!
