max8771 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Should you only bid for 1 night? I may be wrong, but I've heard that you can extend your stay for the same price.
AaronJB Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 You can use the "extend your stay" option, but the hotel may not be available or the offer to extend may be at a higher price. In other words, there's no guarantee you will be able to extend for the same price.
thereuare Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 As well, when the option is offered, you can only try to extend your stay for up to as many nites as your original purchase... so if you're thinking about purchasing one nite and then extending multiple nites after you learn the name of the hotel, that strategy won't work.Do you have a particular stay coming up that you want to use PRICELINE for? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. rayq Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Can you backward extend the booking? For example, if you succeeded in booking 2 night on Thurs and Fri, and want to add one more night for Wed (or one more night before Sun and Mon). Thanks.
thereuare Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Yes, when offered, you an add nites to the beginning OR end of your stay, but they must be continuous nites to your first reservation. In your example above, if you win a hotel for Thursday and Friday nites, you can try to add Wednesday OR Tuesday and Wedneseday... but you couldn't add Sunday Monday since that would not make it a continuous stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. vanclan Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Can you only extend at the time of the original bid? and does Priceline always give you this option?
dahammer Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Check out this topic over at PRICELINE: 'Add Nights to my Reservation' you can add a night up to 11:00 am of the day you check out if the hotel accepts same day bids. If they don't accept same day bids, you must decide by midnight. You are not always given the opportunity to add a night. In addition, the add a night may not be offered at same ammount as your bid.
