tmeylor Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 I am planning on bidding on Priceline for a 3 1/2* or above in Long Beach (downtown area) for 1 night, May 24, 2 adults. If rejected I wanted to know if the Long Beach Airport area would be a good re-bid location. I don't see any 3 1/2* hotels in that area. I am worried about the Marriott next to the Long Beach Airport. If it isn't listed as one of the hotels on the previous page, does that mean it won't be selected for Name Your Own Price? Thanks in advance for your help.
thereuare Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Long Beach Airport is currently a re-bid zone when bidding 3.5* in this region, but you need to know how to check this yourself since new hotels are added/removed and upgraded/downgraded alll the time. As well, it states at the top of the PRICELINE HOTEL LIST:DO NOT USE THIS LIST to determine what areas to add when attempting to bid again within the 7224 hour window (CLICK HERE for information on how to add cities in order to bid again). Please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions you may have so that you know how to confirm your re-bid zones just before bidding. As well, for a quick doublecheck of your re-bid zones, or to make sure nothing has changed since you last checked, you can try RE-Bidding.comPlease use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how your bidding goes or if we can be of further help. tmeylor Posted September 16, 2009 Author Report Posted September 16, 2009 We decided not to stay in Long Beach that weekend. But it looks like one can get a 4* hotel in Long Beach for roughly $75 per night, which is a very good deal. Either the Hyatt, Hilton, Westin, or Renaissance Hotel.
