plant78407 Posted November 30, 2004 Author Report Posted November 30, 2004 Summerfield ended up dropping regular rooms rates to $53 for one bedroom. Using the motto "it doesn't hurt to ask" even though it's a Hotwire or PL room we had called ahead and asked for two beds which they said was no problem. What we didn't know was that when we arrived we were asked to pay $30 per night to get second bed which in their suite setup meant extra bedroom. I stayed with the one bedroom and sleeper sofa for the kids. But when we asked for non-smoking they wanted $10 per night. Kind of rude when the property had low occupancy. But nice rooms with a free hot breakfast. Also full kitchen.
WillTravel Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I don't know if a hotel is allowed to charge extra for a non-smoking room. I'd consider asking Priceline about that. They would be allowed to charge more for different bedding.
