Priceline Hotel: 3* San Diego (Sorrento Mesa) Country Inn and Suites

Used San Ysidro, National City and Escondido as free rebid zones, started at $28 and went up $1 at a time till I hit this at $39. Should be nice with the free shuttle and full breakfast for a family getaway. Don't have the details in front of me but with taxes and fee it was $140 and change for the 3 nights.

$39 is a very low rate for this hotel, especially considering your dates are a summer weekend.
