First bid $37 rejected. Added Farmington for rebid, accepted. Tax and fee total $50.81. Web price for room only, $123.

Also automatically upgraded to Hyatt Place, PRICELINE lists as 3* hotel.

Used the PRICELINE link thru BB. Everyone should use it.

Thank you ever so much to wolverines1 for posting your win! I used the same method you did in your Priceline Livonia Hyatt Place thread and won this room for tonight. We recieved a call 3 AM this morining our next grandchild is on the way. We live on the other side of the state,, so first thing I did was check Better Bidding. :) Your reported win was key in getting a place that is near the hospital and also one of our favorite past wins!

Thanks again.

Cheryl

nick5,

Congratulations on your success and on the new addition to your family :)

Glad to hear the board was helpful in securing a room with a good location on short notice during this exciting time for you and your family.

No need to start a new topic as i've provided links above to the original win and move your post to its own thread.

Thanks for sharing your PRICELINE win with the board and hope everyone is doing well!

The newbie is happy to help. Reports are this is quite a nice Hyatt property, so I hope it works out. Livonia is a nice location, reasonable distance to airport, downtown, Ann Arbor, Southfield. Several quality restaurants along Haggerty Road between 6 and 8 Mile Roads. Enjoy!

Thereuare: technical question -- most of the new threads have an orange link on the left which takes the user to the latest post ... how does one put that in to the reply or new post? Thanks.

That image is there to show you that there is new post in that thread since the last time you were on the board. So if you and i were each on computers next to each other, you may have that image next to a thread and i may not have that image next to the same thread (depending upon when we were each last on the board and which threads we have read)

You can link to the "last post" which is what clicking the orage image does by using the URL all the way to the right, for instance currently this is what apears for me for this thread:

Last post by: wolverines1

(it'll obviously change once i enter this post) but you can use the "Last post by:" link if i'm understanding correctly what you're trying to do.

Hope that helps... and feel free to mention Ann Arbor in any of your posts :)

Thank for taking care of my post!! Yes,, everyone doing great. Baby boy! Our other grandchild was born 6 months ago, baby girl. We waited for grandbabies for a long time,, this son will be married 10 years this coming Sept. Everyone is thrilled.

ps.. Wolverine, I'm positive you will really love your room there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Just make sure you get down for the comp breakfast before ending time as they promptly clear away on the dot. On a side note, they had the best tasting grapefruit (slices fresh and peeled) that I'm had in years. Also plus for us, is they sever Starbuck. Too strong for some, but perfect for us. Oh and there are so many places to eat at. Drive a mile or so either way and there is everthing offered. We at at TGIF for their new 5.00 lunch menu. It was way beyond what one would expect from a 5.00 meal. Oh and there is a movie theater right in a connecting parking lot to the Hyatt. Like I said before, one of our favorite priceline wins and I was happy to see it come back up as a win.
