Elle17 Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 My travel dates are May 15 - 19. What would you suggest for price?I saw someone say free rebid zones... does this mean there are no 4* hotels in Civic Centre, Fisherman's Wharf, Marina - Lombard Street, South San Francisco? So far I've bid $95 with no luck.
slruud Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Rates seem a little high for your dates. Hotwire has a 4* in the Nob Hill area for $99/nite that appears to be the Mark Hopkins, but the hotel website is quoting $109/nite. Their 4* offerings in USE and USW seem a little high. You still have time to bid, and using the free rebids will give you multiple bidding opportunities per session.Good luck.
Colfax Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 I saw someone say free rebid zones... does this mean there are no 4* hotels in Civic Centre, Fisherman's Wharf, Marina - Lombard Street, South San Francisco? There are no 4* hotels in those zones right now. Immediately before you bid, every time, you should recheck your free rebid zones on Priceline's main SF page to make sure nothing's changed. The Mark Hopkins at $109 that slruud mentioned is an excellent deal, especially with 4* rates fairly high for your dates. After Hotwire's transaction fee there's little bottom line difference between $99 on HOTWIRE or $109 booking direct through Intercontinental. If you book direct you can reserve 1 King or 2 Doubles, which you can't do on HOTWIRE. (That $109 is a prepaid rate, btw.)Or you could try bidding for a 3.5* in USE or USW.Please use the board's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links.
thereuare Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Did you want to continue bidding on PRICELINE, look closer at the HOTWIRE offer, or book direct thru the Inter-Continental.Let us know your thoughts and/or questions regarding the info posted above and how we can help as you proceed. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our InterContinental link if you go that route) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
