Priceline Hotel: 4* Coral Gables (Miami) Omni Colonnade Hotel $46

Booked Omni Colunnade Hotel via Priceline (4*) for pre-cruise stay on 5/16/03 for $60. Taxes were $5.63 so it looks like I was almost $15 too high, which I don't mind because I was trying to get it on the 1st shot without having to mess around a lot. I bid $60 for 4* for all Miami zones that had 4*s (I left the non 4*s unselected in case I needed to rebid).

I haven't stayed in this hotel before but based on the reviews I've read it looks very nice, and for $41 it would be a steal (published room rates $130-400 for regular queen). I figure I'll spend $25 to rent a car (or $45 for a convertible).

Last year I stayed (via priceline) for $60 at the 4* Mayfair House in Coconut Grove and it was awesome, I was hoping to get this hotel again. You should have seen the cabbies eyes light up when we told him where to take us. We realized why when we pulled in behind a Lamborghini, a Lotus esprit, and a bunch of Limos. The hotel was nice but the area of town was what really made it.
