I need to book 2 rooms at the same hotel. The check in dates will be different however the check out dates will be the same.

What is the best system (Hotwire or Priceline) to use and the best preceedure to make sure we are all in the same hotel AND get the best price available...possibly through bidding?

Priceline:

If you bid for two rooms separately you might win two different hotels. To guarantee both rooms are at the same hotel you'll have to bid the two rooms together for the same dates. That means one paid room will go unused until the second party arrives.

Hotwire:

Search both parties' dates. If you find the same zone/quality level/icons for both sets of dates then probably it's the same hotel. That's not 100% sure though, as sometimes 2 or 3 hotels in a zone use the same set of icons.

Priceline usually beats Hotwire on price. Even if you pay for a night that you won't use on Priceline that might come out cheaper than making two purchases on Hotwire.
