footstomper Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 4* bidding for downtown Vancouver, BCDowntown - $60 rejectedDowntown + Coquitlam = $70 rejectedDowntown + Coquitlam + City Hall = $75 rejectedDowntown + Coquitlam + City Hall + Surrey = $80 rejectedNote sure what's up with Priceline since many got hotels for around $60 or so. I didn't want to go any further.Went to Hotwire and got the 5* Sutton Place Hotel (probably really only a 4*) the same date for $94 a night. I think this is a pretty good price for this hotel.
footstomper Posted April 12, 2009 Author Report Posted April 12, 2009 Here are the hotel amenities for Sutton Place:
AaronJB Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Congratulations on your success! Thank you for sharing your results with the board - terrific deal for the 5* Sutton. Can you please provide only the amenities that were showing on the HOTWIRE listing? (so we can make sure the hotel is still coming up with the same amenities as were last reported.) Thank you. :)Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.Have a great trip.

Sutter Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 We're looking to stay at the same place May 17. While Hotwire apparently uses the Marriott Pinnacle, and calls it a 5-star, too, it seems the Sutton Place is the more common choice. I did look at Priceline but liked the idea of narrowing down our location (we have some friends arriving before us, and will be leaving on a crusie the next day). Tripadvisor reviews for the Sutton are generally very positive.
