odysseus Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Parc 55 is actually in the USW zone, so you would need to have selected that to get it.

LunchTicket Posted April 23, 2009 Author Report Posted April 23, 2009 I have a question about winning 2 rooms. I recently won thanks to you all 2 rooms bidding on Priceline. at the Westin st Francis I am checking in at 1st check-in which im sure, is around 2-4pm... but the Family will be arriving later in the PM around 8now when I won the Bid, I entered my name for room 1 and my family name for room 2 ( different last name )My question(s) are :Can i check-in for them? since rooms are paid for? Also im going to try to ask for a room on a higher floor, I imagine getting 2 upgrades would be harder to get. The rooms dont need to be near each other.Does Westins billing sys show both rooms some how linked to Priceline? And more important,Will Westin known we are together?
thereuare Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 You will only be able to check-in for the room which is in your own name. I'd ask for your request of a high floor, and then if it's granted, just before you leave the desk let them know that you have family members who will be checking in later in the evening and ask the front desk clerk if s/he can block a room near yours so that you're near each other.Yes, the hotel will know that the room was booked thru PRICELINE. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Colfax Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Also im going to try to ask for a room on a higher floor, I imagine getting 2 upgrades would be harder to get. The rooms dont need to be near each other. The Westin has two towers, one newer than the other. I haven't stayed at the Westin but my understanding from other posts is that Priceline guests are usually assigned to rooms in the older tower with the option of upgrading to the newer tower for an additional fee. (The Westin charges more for the new tower on conventional bookings as well; not just with PRICELINE.)If you're upgrading in order to get a better room (as opposed to more view) it may be you want to upgrade from the old tower to the new tower, rather than to a higher floor in the old tower. But then maybe a higher room in the older tower will be free. So many bidders have been winning the Westin lately and I'm surprised we haven't had more feedback here about Westin's current PRICELINE practices: what types of rooms people are getting and what upgrades are being offered at what cost. Most of what I've heard about Westin is a year old or more. As things are always changing it would be helpful to get some fresh reports here.
