Thinking on bidding on a two star beachfront in Hollywood, Fla. Any ideas what the name of the hotel or exact location?

I'm a regular visitor in this area for many years now. My advice is to stay away from 2* or 2.5* beach hotels in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale.

If you need further help with your stay so please post your date(s), the zone(s) you're willing to stay in and your max budget/night.

Thanks for the reply. my wife and I have been to the Fort Lauderdale area a few times. We are looking at mid to late July and a beachfront area. A 3 to 4 star hotel no more than 115 per night is what we are looking to find.

I need specific dates to help you. But it's a very long stay so don't wait to long. If a hotel sells out one night will this destroy the complete stay for you. And you might have to split your stay.

4* Westin Diplomat in Hollywood beach $120. This is a nice place on the beach.

4* Westin Beach Resort $86 Fort Lauderdale Beach (old Yannkee Trader)

3* Best Western Oceanside $83 Fort Lauderdale Beach (you have to search for 3 adults to get this to appear)

Thoughts?

The Best Western Oceanside sounds more in our budget for this years excursion to Fort Lauderdale. However I didn't see that listed when I searched.

Yellowdog, is there a way that I know that I am bidding on the Westin Diplomat, not the Beach Resort? ARe they in different zones? I am interested in going 5/7/09-5/10/09, but I really only want to stay at the Diplomat. Are there other 4 stars in that zone?
