sooke Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 I thought I was booking the La Quinta at Sea Tac because the hotel's amenities were the same (shuttle, breakfast, internet) The Trip Advisor Reviews look scary. Next time I'll put the street address of the hotel I want on Hotwire's search page, and sort the results by distance. This place is further from Sea Tac, so I would have been forwarned that it was not the La Quinta :)

Colfax Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 Hope it works out, sooke.La Quintas are usually 2.5* or 3* on Hotwire. For some reason Hotwire cites La Quinta as an example of a 2* brand. "Our 2-star hotels include Comfort Inn, La Quinta, Days Inn and other respected hotel brands." But Hotwire almost always rates La Quintas higher than 2*.I've seen several complaints on the board from people who bought a 2.5* on Hotwire, got a La Quinta, and were disappointed because they thought La Quinta was a 2*, per Hotwire's own words. The same situation exists at 2.5* level, where Hotwire cites Holiday Inn Express, AmeriSuites, and Country Inn and Suites as examples of 2.5* brands. But those brands are often rated 3* at purchase. And AmeriSuites became Hyatt Place awhile ago now, so the examples need to be updated.
