thyme2b Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 Hi, I've only bid once before on Priceline. I am planning a trip to LA on 4/7/09-4/9/09. I want to take kids to Universal. I saw the Hilton for $189 on most sites. I want to stay in the touristy part of LA. I'd prefer to be near Universal or Santa Monica. Any suggestions?
thyme2b Posted April 5, 2009 Author Report Posted April 5, 2009 I'm bidding on Priceline for hotel in LA for first time. Any advice out there?
AaronJB Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 You're going to have to offer a bit more information than that if we're going to be able to help - what is your max budget per night? What star rating are you seeking?
thyme2b Posted April 5, 2009 Author Report Posted April 5, 2009 I am going to try a bid for Universal area at $50 for two night 4/7-4/9/09 now and see what I get.

Colfax Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 Congratulations, thyme2b.There are two Hiltons in the zone. Did you win the one in Glendale or the one in Universal City? On Hilton's website neither of them is called "Hilton Convention Center". There used to be a third Hilton in the zone called the Hilton Convention Center but that's been rebranded as a Marriott.I suspect you won the Hilton in Glendale since the one in Universal City hasn't been reported here yet, but if you see this please confirm.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 As per a PM received from the OP, it was the Hilton North in Glendale. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
