jeff101d
I'm trying to get a car rental in San Antonio for 6/30-7/5However, Hotwire says nothing available in Mid-Size, Full Size,Compact, Mid Sized SUV, Economy, etc...Only available right now are MiniVan, Luxury and Convertible for $40+ per day.Never had this problem before.Wondering what going on here? Am I looking to early??Will they become available as the date get closer and they know what they will have left? Or is something else happening here?Getting the hotels was no problem at all. Romelle
Have you tried the actual car rental web sites? I ran into what you are experiencing in another city but the actual rental companies still had cars, and at good rates. Of course, clicking through from this site (links to the car companies are under the Support/Travel tab).Romelle Link to comment
powerplantop
You should check the car rental companies pages for your dates. There could be a big event in the area.Car rental companies have cut fleet sizes in lots of cities (LAX is a big example). This is due to the fact that they are not getting as much for the cars when they finish with them. So it is not worth it for them to have extra cars. Link to comment
jeff101d
Yes, I see plenty of cars on Priceline and Travelocity and other sites but Hotwire has them too until you go to reserve it says sorry none available. I've read there is only 1 small convention in town. I'm trying to book throught Hotwire since I have a credit with them. Link to comment
