Hotwire Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip Central) Wynn

Started my search by using the obligatory Priceline link

Because of a great deal someone else posted on the Calendar of Wins, I bid $65 for North Strip, failed

Added South Strip, increased to $69, failed

I'm aiming to get a 5* room on the Strip for $100 or less during these dates, so will rebid again tomorrow. Advice on strategy is welcomed.

You have lots of re-bid zones available when bidding 5* in Vegas... is there a reason you're not using them? However, i'm not so sure that under $100 is going to be enough for these dates. (if you're willing to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID i think you can be successful for just Thursday nite, but based on current rates i'm doubtful it will be enough for the weekend nites)

Also, you mention that your goal is a 5* hotel on the strip, but note that the Trump is in the North Strip zone, but located slightly off-strip... make sure you're ok with this outcome before bidding again.

I had to re-read the thread on re-bid zones because Priceline's made some changes to their interface... it wasn't clear to me how to tell which zones were free re-bid zones. After that I did try a bunch of re-bids a few days ago and was up to $95 for these dates without success.

Then I decided that I was unwilling to accept the Trump as a possibility and so I gave up on Priceline. Used your HOTWIRE link to nab the Wynn for $165 per night.
