sidney2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Hello!I'm looking to plan a trip to Marco Island, FL this June. I wanted to know on PRICELINE if the only potential options for the resorts are either the Marriot Beach Resort or the Hilton? I notice on the priceline hotel list a Radisson beach Hotel. However, I can not find a location on the Radisson website pertaining to Marco Island. Was the Radisson bought by another hotel?I'm o.k. with either the Hilton or Marriot, but I just wanted to make sure there was not a sleeper out there, that I'm not ware of. Also, any particular reason why HOTWIRE does not offer any options for marco Island?Thanks,SidneyP.S. Any data on this website in regards to the actual room types people get upon checkin?
dahammer Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Welcome! Both the Marriott and Hilton are possibilities, but you could always be the first to report a new win in this zone. If the Radisson is not showing up on the website, then its possible that this property has been rebadged. As far as room type, check the board for any reviews, but I wouldn't expect to get an oceanfront room through PRICELINE, but you may be able to inquire about the cost of an upgrade. What are your dates of travel?
sidney2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Thanks for the reply. My dates of travel are June 17th through the 22nd? I just thought about another possible option resort...Marco Ocean Resort. There are very few entries for Marco Island posted, but I will try to search for others. Thanks Again!

I just wanted to make sure there was not a sleeper out there, that I'm not ware of.There is no complete list of hotels that PRICELINE works with, even our own hotel lists should be considered a 'moving target' as hotels are constanly added, removed, upgraded, and downgraded. The Marriott and Hilton are the only Resort class properties reported to the board, but there could always be others. The Radisson used to be located at 600 South Collier Boulevard and is now the MARRIOTT VACATION CLUB CRYSTAL SHORES.You can use our new site BackUpBooking.com to search Marco Island and see all the "retail" hotels in this area that participate with PRICELINE (on the retail side)... click the more info link to see the current star rating (for example would show you that the Marco Ocean Resort is currently rated 4 stars by PRICELINE :)HOTWIRE does offer hotels in Marco Island (or at least they have a contract with a hotel in this area), as they do have such a zone on their map, but if no hotels are showing for your date(s) then this hotel(s) may not have loaded any rates into the system. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. If you'd like to move forward and are ready to bid for this stay let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
