NewbieTraveler Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Need to stay in Priceton, NJ one night from (Mon) April 6th - (Tue) April 7th, 2009. Hotwire gives me the following options:3.5-star hotel in Princeton - Lawrenceville Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet, Tennis Nearby$65 per night4-star hotel in Princeton - Lawrenceville Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet, Tennis Nearby$122 per nightIt looks like the Hyatt Regency is the only 3.5* hotel that HOTWIRE uses. Can someone confirm this and help me find out what the 4* hotel might be?Thanks (and kudos on this website)!!!
thereuare Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! The Hyatt is the only 3.5* reported to the board... you shouldn't assume that this is the only one that HOTWIRE uses, as well, hotels are added to the system all the time and hotels upgrade/downgrades are always at work too, so there are never any guarantees. With this noted, the amenities associated with the 3.5* match the Hyatt as well as the Chauncey Conference Center and Hotel, so either fo these would be our best guess for that one. (i've stayed at both if you have any questions regarding either)The 4* has not yet been reported to the board, but being somewhat familiar with the area, if i were to take a guess, i think the Westin would be a good possibility (with the Marriott being a secondary guess)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
NewbieTraveler Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Thank you!I'm new here. After I make my reservation through the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, do I come back here and report what hotel it actually was? Is that how this works?
dahammer Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Welcome!Yes, even if the hotel was previously reported, its important to post the price per night (before taxes and fees), dates of travel, zone, name of hotel...and use the links, naturally :) . This keeps the board current and may help another board member in a search for similar accomodations.
