Trying to choose a hotel within walking distance to the Hard Rock hotel for 4/18 - 4/20.

On Hotwire, see option at $86 with these amenities:

Smoke Free

Comp Breakfast

Fitness Center

Pool

Business Center

Hi Speed Internet

Is this Hyatt Place? Also, do you know if this is the closest hotel within walking distance to the Hard Rock? Open to suggestions.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

If you go to BackUpBooking.com and enter the Hard Rock's address (4455 Paradise Road, Las Vegas) you'll see its location on a map as well as other hotels in the immediate area.

The HOTWIRE hotel above is a match for the Hyatt Place so that would be our best guess.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.

Hello. It sure does sound like it.

I stayed there last year and the hotel is excellent. However, a negative for me was the fact that it is on the immediate flight path for the airport, so when you are in the process of relaxing reading a book outside by the pool you get an earful of a 757 every 90 seconds!

For what you pay I would prefer to stay somewhere a little closer to the Strip, plus there was always the case of cab fares whenever heading up there.

We are out there again on 12 April and we plan on hitting Planet Hollywood, which I have heard good things about (plus it is nicely priced)

:) :) Live and Learn....As a newbie to bidding, I made the mistake of waiting and not pulling the trigger on a great deal when I had the chance. After you helped id the property across from the Hard Rock, I kept watching hotwire for rates for a 5* on the Central Strip. When I started the rates on the Central Strip for a 5* was $130 and I knew my friend had just got a deal in June for the Wynn at $109.

I was hoping the rates would come down as my dates of travel got closer. Wrong -- the rates started to climb and hotels began to sell out. Reading posts I began to see the weekend of April 18/19 has a lot of activity out there. I decided to jump to Priceline and begin bidding -- again as a newbie. Vicinity North (central strip) 5* $130 (counteroffer for $161), then added south strip to the central strip 5* ($130), then went for the south 4* ($130). With prices going up in the area, I didn't think I would get anything for less.

Although I knew the Luxor was a possibility (lot of bad reviews for this hotel), I took my chances. Guess what? Yeah, you guessed it I got the Luxor. I am hoping it's not as bad as the reviews. All I'm asking for is a very comfortable bed.

Since this blunder -- I am working on the next weekend for New York City - Chelsea area and this time have learned the art of re-bidding. Wish me luck!

I feel that you could have bidded lower for a 4 star South Strip. When Luxor is charging $150 per night for regular rates, and you got it for $130, that is definitely not a bargain. So when changing from 5 star to 4 star, you should adjust your price accordingly.

I am also booking a Sat-Mon 4 star south strip pretty soon for a coming weekend, and Luxor is also showing $150 for my dates - so let me see what I can get.
