Paolo Maldini Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 I found this useful website on a very unexpected occasion, as I'm not a resident in North America or Europe (I live in Beijing, China). My friends and I, altogether 4 persons plan to stay 4 nights in LA. We decided to stay in Hollywood area, as it's close to Universal Studios, Hollywood Walk of Fame and Santa Monica. After searching and comparing, we chose 2 hotels, namely, Hollywood Hills and Hollywood Heights. Then it happend that Hollywood Heights Hotel is on the hotel list of Priceline! Before bidding, we browsed the successful bidding histories. Though there aren't many biddings in Hollywood area, we figured out that $70 is acceptable for this hotel. So $70 is my first bid, and is successful! :) Well it's my first time to use this site. And I'm sure I'll preceed to book hotels in Vegas! Many thanks to the admins on this site and those who shared your expeirences!
thereuare Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! We're glad you found us :)Coungratulations on your success! Glad to hear the information on the board was helpful with your purchase. One thing to keep in mind is that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy (it's not clear if you're bid for one room or two)... if only one, you may want to email the hotel and request a room with two beds.Let us know if we can be of any help with your Vegas stay (just start a NEW TOPIC).Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay... the US awaits your arrival. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Colfax Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Congratulations, Paolo Maldini.I've stayed at the Hollywood Heights on PRICELINE twice and both times they gave me a room with two beds, although I didn't request that. Two beds aren't guaranteed but I think your chances of two beds are better than average. This hotel is participates in Hotwire too. I haven't checked your dates but it's possible you could have booked it thru HOTWIRE and had a two bed gurarantee. That probably would have cost more than $70 though.Enjoy your stay.
Paolo Maldini Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Thank you so much you guys. You're so helpful! :)
