a11u11 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Hi,Any help would be greatly appreciated.3* Eiffel Tower - Musee d'Orsay - Invalides$89 per nightApril 30 - May 5thAmenities = RestaurantThanks in advance.
WillTravel Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 With an amenity that common, you will never be able to tell for sure, but based on the vacation packages, the Mercure Paris Montparnasse 3m is a definite possibility, as "Restaurant" is displayed as that hotel's single amenity also.
thereuare Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 On my HOTWIRE search the property above also shows a Tripadvisor rating of 3.5 with 40+ reviews... and the Mercure Paris Montparnasse 3m only has 23 reviews, so i don't think this is a likely outcome. Are 'ok' with a 3* hotel in Paris... star ratings are a bit more 'generous' in Eurpoe then here in the States and if you're looking for the equivalent of a 3* hotel lin the US, there is a good chance such a property will fall short of your expectations. It may be fine for your needs, but i learned my lesson in Paris the hard way :) (no A/C when a heat wave hit in early Spring)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. a11u11 Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 I went with PRICELINE instead and got 4* Marriott Rive Gauche in (St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse) for $125. Will post this in priceline section but wanted to close this thread off. Very happy with the results! To be honest, I forget if I used the link from betterbidding to PRICELINE, but I will definitely remember for my other bookings on this Europe trip. Thanks!
