This looks like a match for the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf, Ton.

$79 is a good price for a 3*, but I think you might win a higher rated hotel on Priceline for a little less. Many report winning a Fisherman's Wharf 3.5* on Priceline for $65 lately. Usually it's the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf but it could be another 3.5* too. I can't say a 3.5* is available at $65 for your exact dates.

The Holiday Inn gets pretty good reveiws, but if you'd prefer a 3.5* I'll suggest bidding $65 for 3.5* on Priceline first.

Or try bidding $60 for a 3* on Priceline and you might beat Hotwire's rate on the Holiday Inn (or another 3*).

From another post of yours I see you're two students doing a West Coast driving trip; you've never used Priceline before; and you're on a $60/night budget, on average, for the whole trip.

I'll mention that SF hotels have very high parking charges, the highest you'll encounter on your trip. The Holiday Inn charges $40/night, for example, and some hotels charge more. Usually there are nearby parking lots where you can park for less, whichever hotel you win, but you're not going to find free parking in this part of town. I wanted you to be aware since a $40 parking charge is a shock to a $60 budget!

If this puts you over budget we can talk about other less expensive options, probably Priceline's Civic Center zone.

Please use these HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links when you purchase.

thanks for your information.

my limit for a hotel price is now $70 dollar at night(without tax) offcourse i am trying too pay a lower price. becouse the euro is more worth then the dollar i can spend a little bit more.

i know that the parking prices are expensive. I hate it :). It looks like Amsterdam where you pay $11 per hour! lol

Since i have lucky that car rent also a lower price is and also the tickets, it is now no problem that the parking price is $40.

the only problem is that my vacation begins on 29 june. I WANT TO GO NOW! :) Cant wait...

PS: i have won a 3* hotel in los angeles for $70 at night instead of $170! cool!

June isn't far off, Ton. You'll make it.

Since your budget has gotten larger for the SF leg of your trip I wonder if you've considered staying near Union Square? For $70 plus parking you might be within a few dollars of winning a 4* near Union Square, or a 3* at least.

This is off topic, but another truly budget option for SF are the hostels. There's free parking at the Ft. Mason hostel. (There's another hostel across the Golden Gate Bridge in the Marin Headlands, which also has free parking, but then you'd have to drive into the City and find a place for your car.....) Beds run about $25 per person, so you don't save a bunch on lodging, but the free parking is worth a lot. It's a gorgeous location, too, and convenient to public transportation.
