jvhalley Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Hi there, Great site here, quite the find. I've been a Hotwire/Priceline fan for years and always spent time trying to guess using Hotels.com but this resource is far superior!I'm going to be in San Francisco for 1 night and thought I'd consult the oracle before pulling the trigger. Any advice is appreciated. We're in town for the night of Friday April 3rd, one night only, and we need two rooms. We're going to a concert at the Fillmore and looking to be somewhere relatively close to there so we can walk or not have to shell out too much for a cab. This preference puts us in need of a hotel somewhere in either Hotwire's Japantown zone or Union Square West if I'm guessing correctly. I'm interested in the 3.5 in USW for $79 a night with Fitness Center, Restaurants, Business Center, and Internet Access. Does anyone have any guesses which hotel this is?I was hoping to score a 3.5-4* for 100 or so a night per room, but there seems to be little selection for that night, I know, it is a weekend. Any suggestions or better ideas? Thanks!PS - I'll be sure to use the link when buying through HOTWIRE and report back with my results.

jvhalley Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 Considering trying out PRICELINE instead. Do you think its a safe bet to assume that I'll end up with either the Parc 55 or the Ofarrel Hilton if I limit my search to USW and 4 stars? Both seem to be going for about 100 a night with taxes in recent bids reported on the PRICELINE side...Thanks!
Colfax Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Hilton and Parc55 come up more often than other 4* hotels in USW. You can't assume you'll win one of those though. Seven other 4* hotels have been reported in USW, and they all pop up from time to time. Are you trying to win or avoid particular hotels within USW?
jvhalley Posted April 7, 2009 Author Report Posted April 7, 2009 After much research and contemplation, I decided to go with the discount rate I get through work at the Best Western Hotel Tomo based on its proximity to the venue. Thus, forgoing HOTWIRE in the process. I'll make sure to use your links in the future and look forward to it. Thanks for the help.
