i am looking on hotwire for Toms River, NJ and i keep getting 2.5* hotel for dates march 29- 31 ($66).

There are numerous hotels in this area that this could be... the Ramada, Howard Johnson, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn wouuld all be among the possibilities (there may be others too as this area has quite a few of these 'budget' properties which most of tend to offer complimentary breakfast)

I see a nice Hilton Garden inn (Lakewood) - How do i get a good rate there ?!?

unfortunately, the Hilton Garden Inn is not located within the boundaries of HOTWIRE's Toms River zone. If you want to stay here, you may need to book directly with the hotel, please use the Hilton links on the board if you do so. I don't believe bidding on PRICELINE is an option either as the HGI is rated as 2.5* on the Shop and Compare site and when bidding, the highest star rating in Lakewood is 2*.
