meggieprice Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Hello again! My brother and his fiance are flying in to have us shoot their engagement portrait and we want to find a great hotel experience for them. Nob Hill is ideal as we do part of our portraits at the Lyon Street steps. However almost anywhere would be a thrill for them.I would love to put them in the Huntington and am hoping the hotel I see for $116 is that hotel.I also would take input as to why another place could be just as fabulous that is not in Nob Hill. 4 star or above- Up to $125 a night. Thanks! And I have already linked from the link here to do my search.SOrry that should say 3/30-4/1 - two nights.
thereuare Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 What are the amenities associatd with the $116/nite hotel you're being offered? Thanks for using the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. meggieprice Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Posted February 28, 2009 Oops- sorry- I forgot that- now it seems to be up to $121 (darn)4-star hotel in Nob Hill AreaThis hotel features the following amenities:Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessSpa Services
meggieprice Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Posted February 28, 2009 I don't wish to make more work for you kind better bidding folks but I was actually hoping to indentify the hotels that show up in general- at least the ones near Union Square, Nob Hill, EMbarcadero - because I am really wanting to find a great hotel for them. Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 The amenities above match previous reports for the Huntington so that would be our best guess... but i don't see this property appear at the moment on my own HOTWIRE search for your dates.I was actually hoping to indentify the hotels that show up in generalI'm not sure what you're asking here, but you should first compare what is offered on HOTWIRE to the Hotwire Hotel List to see if you can identify them yourself and we can then confirm what you believe you're being offered. Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your purchases. meggieprice Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Posted February 28, 2009 I will look at the hotel list.Their dates have now changed to 3/27-3/29Also, please accept my apology for any confusing posts I do. I have fibromyalgia and it includes a condition called fibro fog that causes confusion, loss of memeory, etc. SOmetimes I lose track of my thought half way through a sentence.
meggieprice Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Posted February 28, 2009 I have seen the Huntington is not there for those dates so have to choose between Intercontinental in USE and Intercontinental Mark Hopkins in Nob Hill (I think!) - I just wish I knew which would be a better experience for them.
meggieprice Posted February 28, 2009 Author Report Posted February 28, 2009 Now I am wondering about the hotel at USE that is $104 - it looks like it could be either the Palomar (which I would love) or the Grand Hyatt- which would be ok but not as unique. Is there any way to tell?Fitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet Access
thereuare Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 There is no additional information provided by HOTWIRE for the 4* USE hotel so unfortunately there is no way to differentiate the Palomer from the Grand Hyatt before the purchase. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. meggieprice Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Posted March 2, 2009 Fitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessThe good news is- we have found out for your data base that this no longer has the smoke free amenities that distinguished it from the Palomar and Grand Hyatt. The bad news is the same thing- because this is not where I really want to put my brother and his fiance. Not only is it similar to every Westin but I only paid $15 less than internet rate. Oh well. You win some you lose some!
thereuare Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Sorry this one didn't work out as you had planned. Thanks for the update to the Hotwire Hotel List.I'm sure your borther and his fiancee will still enjoy their stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Colfax Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 This is a very good location. They should have a wonderful time.
