dahammer Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 started bidding at the 3.5* level in the LGA zone, and realized that there are 4 rebid zones but stopped at $65 as most of these hotels charge for parking and high speed internet. I lowered my star rating to 2.5 and bid up to $65 in the Flushing Whitestone zone, without adding LGA because I didn't want to get the LaGuardia Airport Hotel (former Wyndham, which appeared to be on HOTWIRE for $69). I lowered to a 2* in the Flushing-Whitestone zone and bid $49 and received a counteroffer to increase my bid to $63. Added Elmhurst Corona which was not a rebid zone and bid $53, Success!Your Offer Price: $53.00 Taxes and Service Fees $17.38 Total Charges: $70.38 free parking, free wirless internet and free breakfast are included and the rack rate was $139 tonight, so I'm happy with the results and even happier that the Extended Stay America didn't accept my bid! :) used the PRICELINE links on the board to make my bids.a board member previously posted that this hotel offers complimentary shuttle service, here is the current policy:Shuttle Service to/from LaGuardia Airport from 4:30am to Midnight and Shuttle Service to/from 2 blocks from the #7 train from 4:30am to 12am Midnight.
