Priceline Hotel: Bidding Strategy - no luck so far

I am looking for a 4* in Beverly Hills-West Hollywood on March 24th-29th and have bid from $80 up to $120 with no luck. I added in Santa Monica and Brentwood and also changed the check out date to the 28th and still no luck. Should I try going higher or wait?

Any suggestions? I really want at least a 4* as I have read the reviews on some of the so-called 4* hotels and they seem to be very lax in the 4* rating. Thanks!

Any help in identifying this hotel would be appreciated! I am unsure because it is a Boutique with Golf and Tennis, I couldn't find anything on Trip Advisor matching this rating either...

The 4* in Century City-Westwood has a SPA icon in addition to the eight icons you posted. If you click "See All Amenities" you should see SPA too. The TripAdvisor stats are a match for the Luxe Hotel on Sunset Blvd. The Luxe would be my best guess.

The Luxe is $175 on Hotwire but only $160.30 on Orbitz. If you purchase on Hotwire you'd qualify for a "Double the Difference" refund of about $30/night, bringing the effective rate down to $145/night (plus tax and Hotwire fee).

Hotwire has a number of options for your dates:

4.5* Bev Hills-WH for $156. Looks like the Sofitel.

4* Bev Hills-WH for $114. Looks like the Avalon

3.5* Century City-Westwood $119. Looks like Hotel Angeleno.

If you're willing to split your bid (stay at two hotels) you might be able to win two 4* on Priceline for less than any of the Hotwire options, maybe for $95-110/night. If you split I'd suggest bidding the weekday and weekend dates seaparately. One bid for 3/24-3/27 and another for 3/27-3/29.
