Deborahsheik Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 This can get confusing...but here goes. I'm trying to organize several groups of people for early April. Some will stay one or 2 nights...I need 5 nights. I'm getting a 4* rate of $149, which is awesome. But is there any way to get us all in the same hotel...with all of our differences I was thinking impossible. Do we stand a good chance if we all do the booking at the same time?
thereuare Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! The short answer is "no" you can't all get the same hotel. If everyone bids at the same time (please ask them all to use our links :) ) it may or may not help, it would depend upon just how many rooms you intend on booking... although we have seen two users, different computers, each click the "Buy" button at the same time and receive different properties. This will be a simplistic example of your situation, but let's say you have two groups, one needs a room for 2 nites and the other for 5 nites (dates of 11/1-11/6), you could:11/1-11/3: book two rooms11/3-11/6: book one roomIn this situation both will be at the same hotel for 11/1-11/3, but the guest staying longer may have to change hotels for the last 3 nites of their stay.... so it depends what is more important, as many people as possible staying at the same property OR not having the inconvenience of changing properties. As your plans become clearer and you know how many rooms, nites, etc, you need let us know and we'll try to advise further. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Deborahsheik Posted February 16, 2009 Author Report Posted February 16, 2009 Made three different bookings today... some for multiple rooms...4*$159... One res. for one room, 2 nights was $154Booked the Crowne Plaza for all the rooms all the different nights.I'm happy we'll all be in the same hotel...I hope they'll let me keep the same room :)
dahammer Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 great!can you please include the date(s) of travel?
thereuare Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to hear it all worked out well for you.The hotel should let you keep the same room(s) throughout the stay... at check-in let them know that you have separate, but continuous, reservations and if they can block the room for the remaining nites. You will still likely need to go to the front desk on 'switch days' and have them officially check you out and back in again, but they should be able to have you keep the same room (it's better for them too as housekeeping only needs to clean the room rather than prepare for a new arrival)If you didn't please remember to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases.Enjoy your stay.
