Golfwins Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I know your probably laughing at me for my destination, but I thought I would ask for your bidding expertise anyway. They only show list two 2* hotels in Sweetwater. Can you get me started on my bidding. thanks again for your help.Edit: After looking at the two hotels I would really hate to get the Days Inn so I'm not sure I should Priceline this one. From the couple of reviews I have found it seems more like a 1* Let me know what you think.Jeremy
thereuare Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 If there is a hotel in the zone that you don't want then you shouldn't use PRICELINE... unless the savings are enough to make receiving the unwanted hotel acceptable.HOTWIRE can be a good option if you're able to idenitfy the property before your purchase... or at least identiy what it is. For instance. even if you can't id a given property, you may know (for example) that the Days Inn doesn't have a pool... you could then 'safely' buy a HOTWIRE hotel that show the Pool icon, for even if you don't know what hotel you will receive, you know it won't be the Days Inn.As well, in areas where there are only lower rated hotels, and little hotel competition, sometimes the deals aren't as big as you may think, so it certainly pays to see what hotel direct rates are to make sure you don't overbid.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
