Hotwire Hotel: Need help ID'ing 2* and 3* Pitt Airport 2/13/09-2/15/09

Hey guys,

I'm new to the board, I stumbled across it and glad I did. I'm planning a weekend with my girl in Pittsburgh for valentines day and while on hotwire I came across 2 hotels that look good, but I'm kinda curious as to what they may be.

The first one is:

3* PIT

Amenities include: FItness Center, Pool, SHuttle High Speed Internet

$43/night

The Second one is:

2* PIT

Shuttle and Laundry

$49/night

THEY BOTH SAY THEY ARE 1.6 MILES AWAY FROM PIT.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And don't worry, I'll definitely post results and use your HOTWIRE link after your help.

first of all, congrats from back east to the Steelers for #6, your team is now working on rings for the other hand :o

Neither of these hotels have been positively identified with exact matching amenities, but I suspect that the 3* could be the Holiday Inn Express. As for the other one, I really can't say, but because its a special occasion, I might not want to stay at a 2*. :)

If you can take a bit of risk, I have seen the 3.5* Airport Hyatt come up through PRICELINE in the $45 or less range. The risk is that you may also get another hotel with similar rating that has yet to be confirmed.....the other risk is that your valentine will think you're either a genius or you're loaded and you will have set the bar (higher) for your next trip..... :)

BTW, the 3* PRICELINE hotels that have been reported are nice as well: Courtyard, Sheraton Four Points Barcelo, Embassy, Crowne Plaza.

This is a match for the Embassy Suites which gets great reviews and is the #1 user rated hotel in the area... it's ~$10 more but with manager's reception and included breakfast this would be my choice.
