djohannw Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 After the "fiasco" :) with the Marriott at the airport (anybody wants this? Would give away at cost...cash at checkin), I decided to go for a hotel within the city of Atlanta for the first few nights (for sightseeing in town) while staying "out of town" for the rest of the days. Judging my chances I choose the downtown-zone for the best bang for my buck and bid $35 but was rejected, added airport (I assumed from former attempts that nobody would bite there for the amount) and raised to $37. Was accepted pretty fast so seems like a good connection between Priceline and Hyatt IT-wise...;-):Hyatt Regency Atlanta 265 Peachtree Street Northeast Atlanta, Georgia 30303 404-577-1234Zone: Downtown AtlantaCheck-In Date: Sat, Nov 20, 2004 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, Nov 21, 2004 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $37.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $37.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.28 Total Charges: $48.28 To maximise stays (and hoping for another round of Faster Free nights with Hyatt) I decided to bid each night seperately alternating between wife and I and friend and her travel partner...added about $4.50 each night to our cost, but it will be definetely worth it when a FFN comes around in November...and yes, I sometimes like to gamble...;-)!Greetings - Dirk
