edit: Is this the avalon? It should be a 3.5*, but I think I read that hotwire recently increased it to 4*. If so, it's a discount weekend so it's cheaper to book right through the hotel

It's true about the Avalon. Hotwire upgraded it to 4* a few days ago, and your 4* looks like a match. (note to thereuare: Avalon still shows as 3.5* in the Hotel List.)

Since you posted the 3.5* hotel has changed and it's $179 now. I see a 3.5* with Boutique, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Highspeed. That's a match for the Tower Beverly Hills.

There's also a 3* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood for $119. Icons: Boutique, Continental Breakfast, Fitness, Business, Highspeed. That hotel hasn't been identified. The TripAdvisor stats (4/5, 180+ reviews) are a match for the Best Western Sunset Plaza, but the Best Western is showing Sold Out for your dates. I can't think what else the 3* might be, but maybe someone else has ideas. Whatever it is that 3* gets better TripAdvisor reviews than the 4* or 3.5*. I have trouble thinking of a Best Western as a "Boutique" hotel but maybe this Best Western's "Tuscan theme" qualifies.

Sorry I never updated this because the person I went with opted to book a hotel outside of PRICELINE and HOTWIRE. He booked it before I could tell him otherwise.
