Colfax Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 A four night stay. This was actually two bids. I bid the first two nights and last two nights separately. I'm combining the two stays in this thread since I won the same hotel at the same price for both. For 1/29-1/31 my first bid of $35 for 3* was accepted.I wanted two more nights then. I could have tried Add a Night but I wondered if a lower price than $35 would be accepted. I knew I might have to switch hotels and that was allright with me.For 1/31-2/2 my first bid of $32 was rejected. So were $33 and $34. At $35 I hit the Park Plaza again.Regular rates for my nights were: Thurs 1/29, $109.65Fri 1/30, $79Sat 1/31 $79Sun 2/1 $109.65For the first two nights HOTWIRE had a 3.5* in Bloomington West for $59 or a 3* for $54.Park Plaza offered me an uprgrade to a suite for an additional $15. On the website a suite costs $40 more. The regular room had all I needed so I didn't take the upgrade.Bids were placed through the BetterBidding PRICELINE link.
thereuare Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Congratulations on your success! To clarify, i assume the suite upgrade was $15 per nite? (vs. for the two nite stay)Glad to see you received the same hotel for the next two nites, certainly seems like a great deal and inexpensive stay. Thanks for sharing your win and using our PRICELINE links to begin your bidding. Colfax Posted February 5, 2009 Author Report Posted February 5, 2009 Yes, $15 per night for an upgrade to Suite. This wasn't just for PRICELINE customers. It was a "Winter Suite Promotion" and I think available to anyone who booked a standard room through any route.
