Colfax Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 Hotwire has redefined their westside zones, for the better. Under the old setup there were just two zones: Hollywood/West Hollywood and Beverly Hills/Century City/Westwood. Now the same territory is divided into three zones: 1) Hollywood 2) Beverly Hills-West Hollywood, and 3) Century City-Westwood.This is an improvement in two ways:1) You can target (or avoid) Hollywood now, which wasn't possible when Hollywood was combined with West Hollywood. And Century City-Westwood zone is a smaller area than the former BH/CC/WW. I haven't figured out which hotels moved from BH/CC/WW into the new Beverly Hills-West Hollywood zone yet.2) With three zones Hotwire has the potential to offer three westside options at each quality level now instead of two---e.g. three different 4* hotels, three 3.5* hotels, etc. We'll work on getting the Hotwire Hotel List updated before long.
