Jade Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I don't see one that matches in any of your posts. Did I miss something? It's saying only $39 on a weekend which doesn't seem right...Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet, and Golf Nearby - Detroit Downtown, 3 star...It's not boutique which eliminates Inn on Ferry Street, no pool which elimitates Riverside, and no breakfast which eliminates Holiday Inn... Am I missing something?
thereuare Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I'm not seeing a 3* hotel currently offered in the Downtown zone for this nite... are you still being offered this property on your own HOTWIRE search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. nick5 Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 I did see a downtown HOTWIRE with pool 3 star for 45.00 a night. It also listed breakfast, fitness, business, laundry and internet. I'm surprised at this is Auto show week. Cheryl

CherylI ended up not booking this trip because when I went back later to try to book it it was gone. We actually ended up booking a hotel in Pontiac/Auburn Hills, but the weather got bad, and we didn't want to go anymore, and Priceline was surprisingly accommodating and let us cancel the reservation. The hotel we booked was Courtyard By Marriott Pontiac, 01/17/09 to 01/18/09. It was $40 before tax, $51.87 after tax. It is listed as a 3* on priceline. We have gotten this hotel on Priceline before. The only complaint is that if you want to bid Auburn Hills you have to bid Auburn Hills/Pontiac, and this hotel in particular is like 15 minutes from the main Auburn Hills attractions. Not an awful drive, but not close either. Then of course this is one where they say king beds cost more than king so when we asked for king we got 2 doubles. I think they tell you that you have to get the opposite of whatever you asked for just because they're annoyed you booked on priceline or something. :)
