carolsut Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I'm trying to reserve a 3* hotel in Scranton for 1/27 for 3 nights. I'm getting a price of $73 for a hotel listing only laundry facilities as amenities. Any idea what hotel this might be? The only 3* I am aware of are Hilton, Radisson and Nichols Inn and they all have more amenities than just laundry.
AaronJB Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Unfortunately, without any help from a tripadvisor rating (there isn't one on the detail page on HOTWIRE) or a match from the vacation package side of HOTWIRE, I'm not sure which property this is. While it lists laundry, it almost certainly has more amenities than that, but the property has only chosen to show one.
AaronJB Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 The Inn at Nichols Village is on sale for $71.99 on Expedia.com for these dates. If that is of interest, please use the site's link to Expedia. Thank you.
dahammer Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 This could possibly be the Holiday Inn in Dunmore as well. The Inn at Nichols Village is often available on PRICELINE and has been recently won for $45. Say hello to the folks at Dunder Mifflin..... :)

Unfortunately, it is the Nichols Inn that I'm trying to avoid. I hate that place!! It's hard to avoid on priceline, so I was hoping that I could get something different on Hotwire.

The hallways are kind of dark and dreary and resemble a maze. However, at $45 its passable. The Fairfield Inn in Dixon City is available for $79 through PRICELINE's shop and compare site.

carolsut Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 Maybe my complaints to Hotwire did something? Now when I do the search, I get a 3* for $62 a night with weight room, pool, dining and laundry. Any guesses on what this is? I don't remember laundry at the Nichols Inn, but I could be wrong.
