thereuare Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Thanks for trying your bids thru the PRICELINE links on the board.I'll add that i'm not a fan of the strategy "keeping your bids below $100 to avoid the Trump" for one day they may just lower their rates (as many hotels in the Vegas market are doing) and you may end up with a hotel you weren't expecting. If you're trying to target, or avoid, a specific hotel HOTWIRE can often be a better option. I'll add that for your dates they do show a 5* at $123/nite which has a Casino icon, so you can be assured it's not the Trump :)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Keep us updated and let us know if we can be of any further help along the way. captjoe06 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 I hear ya T about the possibility of Trump showing up but it was a risk I was willing to take as some folks had been hitting Venetian and I prefer venetians location to wynn. If I got trump I could have lived with it at $90 but since I hadn't seen it come up once under $100 I felt it was worth the risk vs $119 wynn(at the time). Thanks so much for providing this service. It is very much appreciated.

captjoe06 Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 I ought to note that my theory of no one hitting Trump under $100 got blown up yesterday when several folks hit it. First for $95 and then someone else for $70. Unless someone reports Venetian, or a Wynn win during my exact dates I'll likely go the HOTWIRE route. Thanks again for hosting and the work you put into this board.

dahammer Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Tripadvisor currently has 1501 reviews for the Wynn and 1729 for the Venetian; there is typically a lag between what you see on HOTWIRE and the actual reviews, so I would lean towards the Venetian. Please use the HOTWIRE links on the board if you proceed, and Good Luck!
