Center Strip____FitnessPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterGolf NearbySpa ServicesDoes not seem to match Trump (no smoke/free, no kitchenette).Does not seem to match Venetian (missing cust fav, casino, internet, etc). Does not seem to match Wynn (missing Casino and Tennis). Trump comes up IF I change my request from 3 rooms, 3 adults - to - 3 rooms, 6 adults - or - 1 room, 2 adults..HMM. Any ideas? Is this a new hotwire property perhaps? Thanks
AaronJB Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Welcome to the site Which dates? We can't try to help figure it out if we can't search for it, too. :)
autospy Posted December 31, 2008 Author Report Posted December 31, 2008 Welcome to the site Which dates? We can't try to help figure it out if we can't search for it, too. :)My apologies. Jan 30 - Feb 1. 3 rooms, 3 adults, 2 Nights. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Odd, when I search for 3 for these dates I'm seeing a 5* in the Central Strip area with Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, which would be a match for the Venetian.

Colfax Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 To simplify things I searched for just one room with 2 adults/0 children. Then one room with 3 adults/0 children. With 2/0 (which only guarantees one bed), I get the same unidentified hotel you find, for $139.For 3/0 (which guarantees two beds), I get icons matching the Venetian for $219.The $139 hotel has no TripAdvisor stats that help identify. My first thought is the 2/0 combination could be a new set of icons for the Wynn. We've seen Wynn offered for 2/0 and disappear for 3/0 for other sets of dates, using their usual icons. So the pattern fits Wynn.Alternative explanations: these are new icons for Trump, or a new 5* hotel.
AaronJB Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Might it be the new Encore? Just a thought.
Colfax Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Encore makes sense. It just opened in December. The absence of TripAdvisor stats is also consistent with Encore. Encore's first TripAdvisor review wasn't written until December 25, and there's a time lag before TA stats transmit to Hotwire. (Encore has eight reviews now, all enthusiastic.)What's odd is I can't make these icons appear for any dates but the weekend of Jan 30/Jan31. I've tried every weekend in January and February and some random weekdays and it's not there. Not in Vacation Packages yet either. You can add Sunday, Feb 1 for a three day weekend but adding any additional days makes the hotel disappear.I'm wondering if Encore is doing sort of a "test run" of HOTWIRE on Jan 30 and 31?Who wants to jump first? :)
FriscoTom Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 :) GOOD QUESTIONI am looking for Vegas too, but it doesn't show a casino. The Encore should have one, doesn't it? :)
