Priceline Hotel: Help for a 3.5* or better in San Juan on Feb 20

Hi!

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I went up to 140 and can't get a 3.5 on priceline in San Juan!

What am I doing wrong? I would love to spend under 100$ for a 3.5 or better for feb 20, but boy.... I keep getting refused.

What should I do!?

Hi, gaspegirl.

This is a Friday night stay.

There are only two reported Priceline 3.5*'s in San Juan. The Sheraton Old San Juan is $209 and Embassy Suites are $220.

Based on other winning bids I think $140 is too high to bid this far in advance. You might just be bidding too early. I'd try to $100 or so every few days now.

Hotwire has a 3.5* for $122 (looks like Park Plaza Normandie) and a 3* at $129 (looks like Hotel Miramar). Both hotels have low TripAdvisor ratings though--2.5 out of 5--so nothing to jump at.

I'm not personally familiar with San Juan, but I hope someone reading this will have additional suggestions for you.
