B ri Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Searched for 2 people on December 31 to January 1. It gave me a 3* room for $112.Just wondering if someone knew what hotel this is. The three star on Expedia says Holiday Inn Select Ambassador for $111, I'm guessing this would be it, unless hotwire gives the same price. Thanks for your help.
AaronJB Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 What are the amenities showing on this listing on HOTWIRE?
B ri Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 It is currently $110 The amenities are fitness center, pool, resturant, business center, laundry facilities, high speed internet, and tennis near by.
AaronJB Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Would appear to be a potential match for the Holiday Inn.Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
B ri Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 The thing is that this price is the same price of buying the room through other sites like Expedia. Is this normal for Hotwire to do?
AaronJB Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 It is not impossible (hence, HOTWIRE's "Double the Difference" guarantee, where if you find the same room for cheaper someplace else - NOT counting any sort of coupons, etc - you can get double the difference back - in this case, it would be the same price so not really an issue.)You could try bidding on PRICELINE in order to see if you can get a better deal than what HOTWIRE is offering.
B ri Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 what do you think this could be2 star $84 no list of amenities
AaronJB Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Unfortunately, without any amenities (and no vacation package listings for the area) I don't really have anything to go on.
B ri Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 what about 2* breakfast, fitness, pool, and launry?
Colfax Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 This hotel hasn't been identified but my best guess would be the Windsor Travelodge or Ramada.Have you tried any Priceline bidding? I think I would bid to $84 for a 3* or 2.5* on Priceline before paying $84 for a Hotwire 2*. A Hotwire 2* is often a Priceline 1*.
B ri Posted May 12, 2009 Author Report Posted May 12, 2009 Thanks for your help. I just booked a room outside of HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.
thereuare Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 Not sure where/how you booked but please note that in our support page we have links to most of the major chains and online booking agencies. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
